How Can I Train My Team To Utilise FSM Software?

It can help you communicate more effectively and submit paperwork like sign-off sheets quickly without the risk of losing anything. 

Of course, fantastic software of any kind only works the way it is intended if the people using it know what they should be doing. This is why training is essential. 

Whether you have recently decided to move to FSM software or are seriously considering it,let’s look at how you can train your team so they can use it most effectively. 

Create a plan

Before you begin any training for your team take some time to sit down and work out exactly what they need to learn. It is possible that not everyone will need to learn the same things. Consider when they are available; if you have part-time employees you may want to ensure training occurs when they are in, to make it more cost-effective. 

Once you have created a plan, offer training sessions to all of your staff. Many companies find it handy to offer these off-site so that employees can fully immerse themselves in the training without the distractions of the workplace. 

It may be that you want to combine software training with other relevant topics such as customer service practices to save time.

One other thing to remember is that if you want to foster a great working environment then you need to make sure that senior members of staff also take part in the training. 

After the training

Once the training has been completed it can be a good idea to ask your employees for feedback. Check how they thought the training went and if there was anything they felt was missing. Also check that they understand everything; this can be a good time to seek clarification if there are any questions that they may still have. Remember, a good software trainer will always be happy to answer more questions.
